In the magical village of Willowbrook, where flowers sang lullabies and butterflies wore tiny rainbow scarves, lived a girl named Luna who had the most extraordinary job in the world—she was a Dream Painter! Every night, she would climb up to her tower studio and paint beautiful dreams on special canvas clouds, then send them floating through bedroom windows to sleeping children.

“Hello!” called the boy with a bright smile. “I’m Cosmos, the Star Keeper! I travel from town to town, making sure all the stars are properly polished and happy in the sky.”
Luna gasped with delight. “You can touch real stars? I’m Luna, the Dream Painter! I paint dreams for children!”
From that very first meeting, Luna and Cosmos became the best of friends. Every evening, Cosmos would visit Luna’s tower, and they would work together creating the most spectacular dreams anyone had ever seen. Cosmos would juggle stars to light up Luna’s studio, while Luna painted dreams filled with flying elephants, dancing cookies, and magical adventures.
The children in Willowbrook had never slept so well! Their dreams were more colorful, more exciting, and more wonderful than ever before.
But one day, Cosmos looked sadly at the sky. “Luna,” he said quietly, “I can see that some stars in the next village are getting dim and droopy. The Star Council has called me to help them shine bright again.”
Luna’s paintbrush drooped in her hand. “Will you come back?”
Cosmos looked at his magical star-map, which showed all the villages that needed his help. “I wish I could promise that, but there are so many places where stars need care. My job is to travel wherever stars need me most.”
Luna felt her heart grow heavy, like when storm clouds covered the moon. But then she looked at all the beautiful dream paintings they had created together, and she realized something important.
“Cosmos,” she said, her voice growing stronger, “you’ve taught me that making others happy is the most important magic of all. Even if I’ll miss you terribly, I know you need to help those sad stars shine again.”
