On a scorching summer day, an ant was on a quest for water. After searching for a while, she reached a stream. Eager to quench her thirst, she climbed onto a rock but slipped and fell into the water.
A sparrow perched on a nearby tree noticed the struggling ant. Without hesitation, she plucked a leaf and dropped it into the stream close to the ant. The ant swam towards the leaf, climbed aboard, and was soon carried to the safety of the shore. Grateful, the ant looked up and thanked the sparrow for her kindness.
Later that day, a hunter was sneaking up to catch the sparrow with a net. The ant spotted him and realized the sparrow was in danger. Acting quickly, she ran over and bit the hunter’s leg. Startled by the sudden pain, the hunter dropped his net and stumbled back. The sparrow, sensing the commotion, looked around and saw the hunter retreating. She flapped her wings and flew away to safety.
