Allah, in His infinite wisdom, tests His servants in various ways, and through these trials, He paves the way for their salvation. There was once a woman whose patience was tested in the most heart-wrenching manner. Every year, Allah blessed her with a child, but soon after, the flower of her garden would wither. One by one, her children returned to their Creator, leaving her arms empty and her heart filled with sorrow.
After the passing of her last child, her grief became unbearable. In the stillness of the night, she arose like a living corpse, her soul weighed down by the pain of loss. She stood before her Creator, bowed in submission, and wept bitterly. Her prayers were soaked in tears as she cried out, “O Allah! You have blessed me with children, but I have never had the joy of seeing them grow. I surrender to Your will, for You are the All-Knowing, the Most Wise.”
That night, after her tearful supplication, she fell into a deep sleep. In her dream, she saw a magnificent palace with her name inscribed upon it. Inside the palace, she beheld all the blessings of paradise and, to her astonishment, saw all her lost children. They greeted her with joy, without a tear in their eyes, and she felt a wave of comfort wash over her. A gentle, loving voice then said, “You were patient through the trials, and this is your reward.”
When she awoke from the dream, her heart was light, and the burden of grief was lifted. She felt an overwhelming peace, knowing that her patience had been rewarded. She prayed, “O Allah, if You test me further, I will bear it, for now I understand the greatness of Your plan. I am content with Your decree, and the rewards You have promised are far greater than my suffering.”
She realized that this temporary separation from her children was but a brief trial, and soon she would be reunited with them in a place of eternal joy. Her heart found solace in this truth, and she resolved to live the rest of her life in contentment, trusting in Allah’s wisdom and mercy.
Life Lesson
Beloved, never lose patience in the face of hardship, for the reward of patience is immense, far greater than any suffering endured.
